We collect the minimum needed to run the beta, tie your bug reports to your device, and reach you about the program. We do not sell your data, and you can see, correct, or delete it at any time.

What we collect

• Account details — your name (required), vehicle year & model (required), and optionally your phone and mailing address. You provide these at signup and can edit them anytime under My account.
• Device link — your TessDrive's Device ID (e.g. TD-XXXX-XXXX), linked to your account when you enter your registration code on the device. This is what lets your uploaded logs show up as your logs.
• Diagnostics — only when you tap Send logs on your device: recent app/system logs and device telemetry (CPU, memory, Wi-Fi link, filtered logcat). These help us fix what you hit. We do not continuously collect anything in the background.
• Reports — the bug and feature reports you file, and any resolution notes we add.

What we do NOT collect

• No location, no driving data, no vehicle telemetry, no video or audio of what you watch.
• No account passwords in readable form — they're stored only as a salted hash.
• No advertising trackers, and we never sell or rent your data to anyone.

How long we keep it

• Account & device link — kept while you're in the beta. Deleted within 30 days of your deletion request (a self-service Delete account button under My account starts a 30-day grace you can cancel by logging back in) or of the program ending. A daily automated job enforces this.
• Diagnostic logs — automatically deleted within 30 days of upload; our storage expires each log on its own timer. We don't keep them longer, and deleting your account removes them right away.
• Reports — kept for the life of the program so we (and other testers) can see what's known and avoid duplicates; when you delete your account, they're kept but stripped of any link to you (anonymized).

Your rights (including California / CCPA)

Wherever you live, and specifically if you're a California resident under the CCPA/CPRA, you can:

• Know what we hold about you — most of it is visible under My account and your logs/reports in the portal.
• Correct it — edit your profile fields yourself anytime.
• Delete it — one tap under My account → Delete account erases your account, device link, and logs (reports are anonymized), or email us to do it for you.
• Opt out of sale — not applicable, because we never sell your data.
• Non-discrimination — exercising any of these won't affect your standing in the beta.

To exercise any right, email randy@tessdrive.app from the address on your account. We respond within 45 days.

Security & sharing

Data lives in Cloudflare's infrastructure (D1/KV/Workers) with access limited to the program operator. We share it with no third parties except the service providers that host it, and only as needed to run the program.
